With Global Bodies, fabrik Potsdam opens its doors to the diversity and expressiveness of international contemporary dance. The series of guest performances sets thematic and geographical priorities in order to visualise different cultural perspectives on the body, movement and identity.
Whether pulsating rhythms from Africa, poetic body images from Asia or political choreographies from Latin America – Global Bodies shows how dance as a universal language builds bridges, expands horizons and negotiates issues of our time. The invited companies and artists not only bring their works, but also their stories, contexts and philosophies of movement and enter into a lively dialogue with the audience.
