The training course is aimed at teachers of all subjects and school levels who wish to promote creative expression in order to strengthen social, emotional, cognitive and creative skills. In cooperation with the Museum Barberini and fabrik Potsdam, we will draw on visual sources of inspiration from the exhibition ‘Avant-garde. Max Liebermann and Impressionism in Germany’ and thus pioneering artists of German Impressionism and, guided by dance teacher Lydia Müller, translate these into movement and dance in the studio of the Barberini Museum. The aim is to use movement-oriented and dance-based approaches to open up new ways for pupils of all ages to perceive and creatively interpret Max Liebermann's paintings. The resulting dialogue between the works and the audience will provide examples of diverse inspiration for educational practice in schools.
