| Dance for young audience
In Ritournelles, everything revolves around circles. Dancing, humming, and singing, three performers use their bodies, voices and objects to create a magical circle. Within this circle, they invent new words, rhythms, and movements. Sometimes their circle becomes enormous, sometimes tiny, and sometimes it takes the form of a cave. The three performers experiment, are surprised, or fail. In doing so, they create a magic that encourages young and old viewers alike and awakens their desire for adventure.
For Ritournelles, dancers and choreographers Johanna Ackva and Laura Gary collaborate for the first time. They are joined by Yuko Matsuyama (dance & music), Martin Sieweke (costume & set design), and Odile Seitz-Walser, who contributes her experience as a dancer and as a dance facilitator for very young children.
