Die Unterwelt (The Underworld) invites into a world that unfolds beneath a table: a dream world in which spaces and bodies transform and great changes can be revealed. Teacher Ms Kreutzer enters the room on a perfectly normal day, yet everything is completely different from usual. Is this a game or is it all real? Creatures, shapes and even entire continents emerge. Is this still my world? With imagination and a desire to move, the ensemble takes the audience on a journey through light and darkness, crossing boundaries and inviting them to dream. Because only together, with a lot of courage and imagination, can we overcome our fears and discover new worlds.
Die Unterwelt is choreographer Anna Nowicka's first production for young audiences, in which she combines her dance work with her research on dreams.
