| Dance for young audience
How do children greet each other in Frankfurt, São Paulo or Beirut? What does the sea sound like on the beach of La Union in the Philippines? Children from different parts of the world have sent each other voice messages, talked about their everyday lives and shared their favourite dances. From this, a performative audio play has emerged that invites children and adults, through headphones, on a special journey of participation, dancing and discovery.
Without ever meeting in person, the children have explored how people can come together across borders and shape a shared future. The audience follows in their footsteps to the places where the piece was created, where the children live, and to those that can only be found by listening. Together, they set off on a journey of discovery, dance dabke and fly through a “room without walls” that welcomes everyone.
