ZwischenSpiel 2026 presents short choreographic works from a variety of artistic contexts, showcasing a diverse spectrum of contemporary dance and movement forms. Through solos, duets and group pieces, the programme offers intense, condensed insights into both personal and social themes.
The focus is on the body as a vessel of memory, experience and relationship. The pieces navigate between control and loss of control, holding on and letting go, closeness and distance. Through internal processes and external influences, identity is continually rediscovered. Some works explore cross-generational experiences of trauma, migration and loss. Others examine memory, touch and wordless communication as physical sources of relationship and history.
