Bouillir le vide, un récital

Compagnie Martine Pisani (Paris)

24 – 25 Sep 2021 | Potsdamer Tanztage 2021Performance

"The late ones will never miss the beginning!"
Martine Pisani

Martine Pisani revisits the recital form, creating a piece with the simplest instrumentation: the solo. With this recital, she has decided to start anew – or rather, to work only with beginnings. Erasing, starting again, erasing, and so on. These different beginnings leave open spaces for attention and imagination. As in a recital, the sound of the space and the sounds produced by the soloist play a special role. A sound that has several sources: Body, voice, instrument(s), objects... A minimalist piece about the basics with the unmistakable humour and poetry of one of France's pioneering choreographers.
