A trio with various backgrounds pays tribute to the figure of the worker – the gesture of the manual worker transformed into a profound dance... In I Listen (You) See, Hamdi Dridi continues his research on the body at work, on repetitive movements, derived directly from the working man's gestures that exhaust and wear out. Voices, discussions, and songs invade the stage and once again corrupt the movement to be made, to be perfected. The space is weaved with light, dotted with halos, and surrounded by construction equipment and sound spaces. A large loudspeaker suspended from the ceiling, floating and dangerously manipulated by the dancers, creates a hypnotic cycle of visual and sonic images. Hamdi Dridi, step by step, unifies audience and dancers in movement and emotion, to offer an intensely physical hymn to the physicality of work, to breath and to life.
