La Nuit, Nos Autres

A vegetal curtain and a rock adorn the stage. Birds sing, water ripples. Two female dancers and a male dancer populate this nocturnal garden. Their graceful, bouncing movements are reminiscent of fauns. But the picture is quickly changing, dots of colour stain the bodies and make up the faces, marking them with a ritual writing as the rhythm and intensity of the dance impose a vibrant and pictorial atmosphere. The gestures gradually become communicative, the bodies speak, the voices exalt and respond to each other – group life, games, creation, and destruction. La Nuit, nos Autres evokes the strength of the collective body that celebrates itself in its intimacy, transfigures itself, frees itself, and weaves its own fiction: a "being in the making". A magnetic and meditative microcosm that pays homage to the poetry of life.
