The Tarántula Collective interweaves a story of flight from the time of National Socialism with the mystical tale The Conference of Birds by the 12th century Sufi scholar Farid Ud-Din Attar. Between fear and indignation, hope and despair, light and shadow, the thoughts circle like birds in the sky above the burning landscape of the present. Migratory birds sleep while flying during their long journey. Do they dream while flying or do they fly while dreaming? The Tarántula Collective lands, pauses and spreads its wings again to cross the borders.
The piece contains theatrical representations of physical and sexual violence in the context of war. Recommended age: 14 years and older.
