Joy Alpuerto’s workshop practises various movement qualities that explore grounded and dynamic physicality, which strengthens virtuosity and dynamics in space. Working on details in articulating and isolating body parts while playing with musicality and rhythmic patterns, leads to engaging creativity with improvisational tasks to go deeper into different bodily states. Joy Alpuerto is a Berlin-based performer, choreographer, and director. She graduated from the Palucca School (Dresden) and has worked with choreographers and companies such as Akram Khan Company, Wangramirez, Christoph Winkler, Heike Hennig, and Cirque du Soleil.
On Friday and Saturday, the workshop will be substituted by Juan Tirado works closely with Joy Alpuerto. Juan is a guest teacher at various institutions, including Tainan University of Technology, National Taiwan University of Arts, Conservatory of Granada, and National Taipei University.
