Spine as Resource

with Lily Kiara (NL)

Cancelled | 12 – 14 Oct 2020 | Tanzintensive 2020Dance and movement

Based on the Skinner Releasing Technique (SRT), experimental anatomy and physiology as well as poetry and improvisation, we tune into the spine. SRT supports the simultaneous coming together of dance technique and creative process through the use of images designed to promote expansion and strength with efficiency and ease. The spine is accepted as a resource for developing lively dances, connecting with space and others and strengthening orientation, articulation and presence in movement.

Lily Kiara has been active as a dancer and singer/songwriter for more than 25 years, creating performances and teaching in Europe, the USA, Australia and Indonesia. Her dance has been influenced by many great teachers like Lisa Nelson, Suprapto Suryodamo, Julyen Hamilton, Joan Skinner, Eileen Standley, Peter Schmitz. She is currently studying biodynamic craniosacral therapy in London.
