Will the wind pick up at the same time? Will the birds sing the same song? Will the sun set in one place become the sunrise in the other?

Nature meets nature

Lingering in the space between what is far and what is close | with Cinzia Schincariol (Adelaide)

11 Sep 2022 | Kunst und Klima 2022Audiowalk

Nature meets Nature is an invitation to build bridges across continents and seas. Cinzia Schincariol, who will be in Australia, will guide participants to walk through Babelsberg Park in Potsdam over a one-hour long conversation. Through a process of describing to each other the surrounding a shared space is created where these two faraway places meet, becoming dynamic with each other. Cinzia Schincariol will then share somatic explorations that will allow shifts of perception and relatedness with the environment temporarily physically inhabited and the one imagined on the other side. Synchronicity, reciprocity and resonance cannot be forced, yet only be found in an act of surrender and openness to discover how nature unites us.

Cinzia Schincariol is a dance artist working across live performance, film making and healing. She places the body at the center of her enquiry examining place, identity and ecological grief. As a dancer, choreographer and film maker, her work is site specific. Cinzia has lived and worked in many places in Europe, Australia, Africa and South America and for the last three years, she was based in Berlin, studying environmental somatics and somatic movement practices.

The walk takes place in English or Italian.
