Jazzlab offers creative music and interdisciplinary styles a stage at the fabrik. Improvisation is the unifying element in the concerts, performances and the open stage. JazzLab explores active listening and creative participation.
The series has been led by jazz pianist Nicolas Schulze since 2013. Since then, many regional and international guests have performed on the JazzLab stage: Exit 4, Eivind Lonning, Dan Kinzelman, Laura Gary, Yuko Matsuyama, Laboratorio De Creación Coreográfica México, Tristan Honsinger/Joel Grip, Amélie and Nelly-Eve Rajotte, Bob Rutman, Hannes Zerbe/Jürgen Kupke, Klanglabor, Ricz Man, Sabine Vogel, Hui-Chun Lin, Richard Koch, Michal Hirsch and many more.
