"Arrabales" were the densely populated, rough outskirts of Buenos Aires and Montevideo, known to be the origin of tango. Two tango balls with live music, workshops, milongas, tango cafés, a choir concert and tango fashion turn the Schiffbauergasse back into an "Arrabal"!
Diana del Valle and Juan Camerlingo from Buenos Aires are the fabulous guest teachers of the fifth Tango Festival at fabrik Potsdam and perform worldwide. They offer in several workshops for different levels, also for beginners, an excellent possibility to refine the Tango, to work concentrated on the dance technique and to unfold feelings in improvisations.
The Potsdam Trio Tangogo invites with passion to the opening ball on the dance floor.
A special highlight of the ARRABAL is the Argentinian Quinteto El Cachivache, five tango punkers from Buenos Aires. A Tango Café Spezial welcomes the A Capella choir Ensamble Encanto, who takes the audience on a musical journey through Latin America.
